Agyness Deyn by Tim Walker

I always inspired by Tim Walker's photos. His style is peaceful, artistic and beautiful.

“Fate has no pity,
And God’s night is infinite.
Your matter is time, ceaseless time.
You are each solitary moment.”
-Jorge Luis Borges

I was inspired by this poem to creat a piece about the human condition. The background music is a speech about the January 28, 1986 tragedy of the space shuttle Challenger explosion.
For me, the meaning of this installation is hard to pin down. Perhaps it’s about the greed of humans colonizing the universe; or mourning of the lives of the Challenger victims all the while being a reflection of ourselves.
Vast space, endless time. Small human beings drift in the gorgeous and empty universe. On earth there is endless waiting, and in the universe there is the loneliness of death.
